Hello! I'm Meril, a 20-year-old student from Cyprus. If you're not familiar, Cyprus is a charming island known for its delicious food and friendly, sociable people. While I adore my homeland, I felt the urge to embark on a journey of self-discovery in another country. This decision has significantly contributed to my personal growth, enriching my experiences and nurturing my independence. Currently, I've been residing in the Netherlands for nearly two years, and I must say, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I call Den Haag my home now, where I'm pursuing a degree in finance and control at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS). I'm on the lookout for accommodation in the Hague, preferably around the city center. Describing myself, I'd say I'm easy-going, friendly, and responsible. I take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy living space, and in my current accommodation, my housemates and I adhere to a regular cleaning schedule to keep things in order. Outside of academics, I engage in various activities with my housemates, such as glass painting and sewing. Although I currently don't have any pets, I'm fond of them and wouldn't mind sharing a living space with furry friends. I'm a non-smoker who enjoys spending my leisure time outdoors, particularly taking strolls in Haagse Bos and Malieveld. There's something serene about reading a book under the trees in those areas. Additionally, I'm an active member of Haagse Lawn Tennisclub Leimonias, where I regularly indulge in tennis.

Hi, per eind augustus ‘24 start ik de opleiding Tourism Management op de Buas. 4 uur reizen per dag vanuit Soest vind ik wel erg veel en besteed ik liever aan leukere dingen. Vandaar dat ik per medio juni-augustus op zoek ben naar een nette kamer in Breda in een huis met meerdere studenten. Ik ben een vrolijk, sociaal, positief ingesteld en ben altijd wel in voor spontane acties/uitjes. In mijn vrije tijd hockey ik in vriendinnenteam, ben zomers graag op het water te vinden (windsurfen en zeilen) en in de winter op de skies. Vind het leuk met vriendinnen te koken, spelletjes avond te houden of naar feestje te gaan. Maar een avondje filmpje kijken alleen vind ik ook af en toe wel lekker. Ik hoop vanaf september op mijn fietsje naar de Buas te kunnen fietsen.

I’m a 22-year-old student and will start my MSc degree at Erasmus in September. Currently I live in Eindhoven, where I completed my bachelor’s degree. In my time here I come from Poland, however I have lived most of my life in Ireland (13 years), before moving to the Netherlands for university. During my time in Eindhoven, I helped organise activities from my study association, I did a student team part-time and was part of a volleyball team for 3 years, so I like to keep myself busy. In Eindhoven most of my friends were Dutch and spoke Dutch to me, so I can almost fluently understand Dutch, and speaking is a work-in-progress. While I enjoy social activities, I am also an ambitious student; I completed my BSc in 3 years and will follow 2 MSc programs. I am outgoing, but also like to relax at home from time to time whether it is board games or watching a series. I am a tidy person and always clean up after myself. I enjoy cooking and know how to make a meal or two. What I value in a house is a relaxed atmosphere, where there are people to just chill with, but where I can also find some space for myself to relax.
